A Layman's Questions About Everything
Every thinking being since time began has had to arrive at one of these two conclusions: Was this incredibly complex universe and its even more complex life forms made by an almighty God, or was it all created by a freakish accident, or by a series of ongoing accidents? If you haven't already made up your mind on this subject, let us explore and contemplate just a handful of scientific facts.

Science, by the way, is nothing other than the study of creation in its countless forms. The facts pertaining to creation and its millions of life forms are infinitely more intricate and complex than a fine swiss watch. By comparison, this fine watch is nothing when compared to the wonders found in the study of creation. Using the old, old example: if a primitive person found this watch in the dirt and opened it up, and saw its complexity, his brain would tell him that an intelligent being had assembled it. No rational mind in the universe could conclude that all the dozens of parts came together accidentally.

Here are just a microscopic number of facts about life and the material universe that we live in for us to dwell on. For starters, counting atoms, cells, molecules, and body parts, we are made up of literally trillions of parts.

There are seven and a half billion people in the world at this time. Countless billions more have lived here before us. In spite of these huge numbers, there has never been another you. In spite of human faces being more or less the same size, each and every face has a unique, one-of-a-kind, look. No two faces are identical. In blades of grass, leaves on the trees, or snowflakes, no two are alike. That's ridiculous, how can that be?

It's been said that one hundred life scientists were asked to define life. No two answers or definitions were the same. The truth is, we don't really know what life is. Theologians will say that life is the sole possession of God. All we know is that once that mysterious force leaves a living thing, only a dead shell remains which quickly reverts back to the dirt, from whence it came. The movie, Star Wars, was apparently theologically correct. Their goodbye was, “May the force be with you”. The force being life.

All living things are made up of microscopic cells. Even though millions of scientists are living on this planet, and many more have died, not one of them has ever been able to create even one living cell or anything else that even remotely appears to be life. And speaking of cells; cells have no brains, yet they act and perform their functions with what appears to be great intelligence.
