No Greater Love
Writings:
No Greater Love
Gen 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

John 1:3: All things were made by Him, and without Him, nothing was made.

John 14:9 He that has seen me hath seen the father in me.

John 14:10 Believest thou that I am in the father and the father in me.

John 15:13 Greater love than this has no man, than a man lays down his life for his friends.

As Christians, we believe these words from the holy scriptures. We believe that God created all things and that, as such, He owns everything.

We believe that Jesus is a part of the godhead, the holy trinity, the only begotten son of God. We can believe from scripture that Jesus loved his disciples. Since we believe that He owns everything, when He left this earth, He could have left them piles of silver, gold and baskets full of diamonds and precious stones.

Instead He left them what must be the most precious thing in His universe. He left them His peace.

John 4:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you.

Phil 4:7 and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, shall keep your hearts and mind through Christ Jesus.

It is in dying that we are born into eternal life (from the prayer of St. Francis)

1 Cor 2:9 Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things that God has prepared for them that love Him.

This is the day the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it. For we have the greatest gifts of all, abundant life, God's love and eternal peace. Let us give thanks.
We thank you, Lord, for being our God.

For doubting minds, try to imagine anything in your world that you could enjoy without peace in your heart.
