What Would You Do?
What would you do?

If you had no God
And you lost a loved one
the pain was more than you could bear
And those around you
Didn't even seem to care?

Or if an illness hits you with results, you can't be sure
And you were told your doctors had no cure

If your source of income ended
And you couldn't pay your bills
The food upon your table got less each passing day
Much less than when you had your pay

Your kids were getting hungry
Their shelter might get lost
You knew you must save it
But you didn't have the cost

In times like these, the load gets heavy
With more than you can cope
Your world seems cold and without hope

You only got anger and no words of comfort from your mate.
Will you just lie there and crumble from the weight?

You wonder what you're doing
All alone upon this planet
This spinning ball of granite
