Science Fiction?

Science Fiction?
The subject of this bit of writing is so far out that I'm calling it science fiction, so my readers will not conclude that I am delusional, deranged, or both.

Many years ago, I heard a preacher on my car radio. He was saying that these fearfully and wonderfully made creatures (that's us) were created in God's own spiritual image, so someday we would inhabit his universe. He further stated that this little blue planet was the nursery (the hot house) to breed us (There are now 7 billion of us). I found this very interesting at the time. My wife calls me "an addicted why man". I always want to know "why" about everything.

As a young man, I was a pre-med major in college, and I got a little glimpse of the science field. I was totally fascinated by it. However, I was disappointed to find out that these very educated scholars could not answer many of my very basic questions. For example, I have asked a half dozen ophthalmologists (eye doctors) "how does the brain pick up colors?" I've been told, "We don't know. You will have to ask God that question."

One thing this glimpse did for me was to make this know-it-all agnostic kid a sound believer in an almighty and all-knowing God. You might say I had an intellectual conversion.

Getting back to the science field, it seems to me that everything, animate and inanimate has a reason for being. That being said, why would God have created millions and billions of empty worlds? The new super telescopes now in space clearly show this to be a fact.

Incidentally, in the glimpse that I keep referring to, I quickly concluded that all of science is the study of creation, God's creation, in its countless forms. Recently in my book browsing, I started to read up on DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid). In my non-scientific opinion, DNA must be one of the most complex things that exists in this universe. In fact, in their book, the two scientists that discovered DNA felt uneasy, thinking they were delving into God's very own private coding system.

Here are just a few bits of information about this marvel of marvels: Inside of your microscopic cells (We have about 37 trillion of them), there is a nucleus. Inside of each one of them are 3 feet strands of material (that I will call software). Each strand contains billions of what I call computer data bits that give a complete and perfect blueprint for creating many other "yous". This duplication is now being done with animal DNA; it's called cloning. The first cloned sheep was named Dolly. I've heard that this is currently prohibited internationally with human DNA. How long will this prohibition hold? Liquor was once prohibited. Now there is a liquor store on every corner.
