Life: The Great Gift
Health: The Greatest Wealth
Before digging deep into real estate and finances, we must put everything in perspective for a starting point. We begin with the fact that every living thing comprises microscopic cells. That means there are trillions and trillions of living cells everywhere. All living things, both plants and animals, are comprised of living cells. Cells do all of the enormously complicated chemical work of living organisms. Yet all the millions of brilliant scientists that have ever lived have never been able to make even one living cell or any other object that even remotely resembles life in any form. All the scientists in the future and those yet to be born will never be able to create anything remotely resembling everyday life in any form. Life is the exclusive property of our creator. Love it, respect it, and be thankful. The Psalmist states, "I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works. They know very well".
God alone has the power to give life to living things. The great holy man Job once said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return; the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." So let us rejoice and give thanks that the Lord has given us the gift of life, yet know that His gift to us is only for a little while here on earth. Since the beginning of time, all people have known that when our lives are over, we move on to another place, another dimension. No one has to teach us this. We all know in the core of our being that this is so. We are privileged to have received this gift we call life. Let us give thanks that we have been blessed with each day to see another sunset and, if we are fortunate enough, another sunrise.
3 Psalm 139:14
4 Job 1:21
